With reference to the above-captioned article and your letter to us dated 9 January 2004, DRB-HICOM Berhad ("DRB-HICOM") is pleased to state as follows :-

1. On 9 January 2004, DRB-HICOM has announced on the proposed acquisition of 175 ordinary shares of Indonesian Rupiah 1,000,000.00 each representing 70% of the equity interest in P.T. Bina Mitra Serasi Haluan Lenggeng by HICOM Communications Sdn Bhd ("HCSB"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of HICOM Holdings Berhad which effectively a wholly-owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM for the total cash consideration of USD1.00.

2. As for the sentence "Aziz expected the cashier management system in Bali to generate an annual revenue of RM4 million for PTHicom-BMS", DRB-HICOM wishes to advise that the above statement was made based on HCSB's forecast and, as announced, will have no material impact on DRB-HICOM's earnings for the year ending 31 March 2004.

section, page 2, on Friday, 9 January 2004, a copy of which is enclosed for
your reference.
