We refer to your letter dated 2 August 2000 in respect of the above matter.
On behalf of the Company, we wish to advise the following:-
1. The original cost of investment by Vibrant Omega Sdn Bhd ("VOSB") for the development of the abovementioned property is RM99,349,600 based on the Joint-Venture Agreement dated 30 August 1997.
2. As confirmed by the auditors of VOSB, the net book value of the development land based on the latest audited accounts of VOSB amounted to RM59,640,000.
3. As confirmed by the Company, none of the persons connected to the directors and/ or substantial shareholders of Larut has any interests, direct or indirect, in the Proposed Acquisition.
Query Letter Contents :
We refer to your announcement dated 24 July 2000 in respect of the aforesaid
matter.
In this connection, kindly furnish the Exchange with the following additional
information for public release:-
1) The original cost of investment in the development land to Vibrant Omega Sdn
Bhd and the
date of such investment.
2) The net book value of the development land based on the latest audited
accounts.
3) Whether persons connected to the directors and/or substantial shareholders
have any
interests, direct or indirect in the Proposed Acquisition.
Kindly furnish the Exchange with your reply within two (2) market days from the
date hereof.
