Reference is made to the Company's announcements dated 27 April 2016, 28 April 2016, 6 June 2016, 7 June 2016, 30 June 2016 and 29 July 2016 in relation to the Proposed Special Bumiputera Issue. Unless otherwise stated, the abbreviations and definitions used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as defined in the abovementioned announcements.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of PLabs, RHB Investment Bank Berhad ("RHB Investment Bank") wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") has, via its letter dated 4 August 2016 (which was received on 5 August 2016), approved the listing and quotation of up to 19,270,000 new PLabs Shares ("Special Bumiputera Shares") to be issued pursuant to the Proposed Special Bumiputera Issue subject to the following conditions:

1. PLabs and RHB Investment Bank must fully comply with the relevant provisions under the Bursa Securities ACE Market Listing Requirements pertaining to the implementation of the Proposed Special Bumiputera Issue; 

2. PLabs and RHB Investment Bank to inform Bursa Securities upon the completion of the Proposed Special Bumiputera Issue;

3. PLabs to furnish Bursa Securities with a written confirmation of its compliance with the terms and conditions of Bursa Securities' approval once the Proposed Special Bumiputera Issue is completed; and 

4. the up to 19,270,000 Special Bumiputera Shares for which Bumiputera investors have not yet been identified, can only be issued after the Ministry of International Trade and Industry has approved the Bumiputera investors to be nominated to subscribe for these shares.
