Reference is made to the Company's earlier announcements dated 15 June 2015 and 3 September 2015 in relation to SapuraKencana TMC Sdn Bhd?s ("SKTMC") (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company) lodgement to the Securities Commission Malaysia for the launch of the Multi-Currency Sukuk Programme and the execution of transaction documents in relation thereto.


The Company wishes to announce that SKTMC has today, made its first issuance of USD200.0 million in nominal value of unrated Sukuk Murabahah under the Multi-Currency Sukuk Programme.


Proceeds raised from this inaugural issuance will be utilised to part refinance SKTMC's existing financings. The unrated Sukuk is structured based on the Shariah principle of Commodity Murabahah (via Tawarruq arrangement).
