In 2007, he was appointed as Senior Private Secretary to the then Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Dato Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak. Between 2009 and 2014, he served as the principal Private Secretary to the former Prime Minister.

Remarks :

Tan Sri Dato' Sri Ab. Aziz bin Kasim has expressed his intention not to seek for re-election as an Independent Non-Executive Director ("INED") of the Company at the conclusion of the 44th Annual General Meeting of the Company held today, 14 May 2018.

Following his retirement as the INED of the Company, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Ab. Aziz bin Kasim also ceased as the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of the Company with effect from 14 May 2018.
