Unless otherwise stated, the definition used in this announcement shall carry the same meaning as those defined in the announcements dated 5 December 2019 and 6 December 2019 in relation to the Proposed Disposals.
The Company wishes to announce that pursuant to the SPA dated 5 December 2019, the Purchaser had obtained the EPU approval on 24 November 2020. Following thereto the parties to the SPA had proceeded to perform their respective obligations under the SPA towards completion of the Proposed Disposals.
However, on 8 December 2020, the Company had been notified by the Purchaser that the said EPU approval had been withdrawn vide the EPU’s letter dated 4 December 2020 and that the conditions imposed in the EPU approval being annulled.
The Company and the Purchaser are presently assessing their respective contractual and legal position under the SPA.
Any further development of the Proposed Disposals will be announced to Bursa Malaysia in due course.
