Further to our announcement dated 7^th January 2009 on the above matter, we wish to announce that we have today received an Affidavit from the Partnership and Company Registration Office Bangkok, Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, confirming that the liquidation of our subsidiary, UMW Auto Parts (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has been completed.

The liquidation is part of UMW’s initiative to reduce the number of dormant companies in the Group and to eliminate unnecessary administrative costs in maintaining the subsidiary further.
