We refer to our announcements dated 23rd August 2010, 24th August 2010 and 31st January 2011 in respect of the investment of UMW China Ventures (L) Ltd (“UMWCV”), a wholly-owned subsidiary in the UMW Group, in Hilong Holding Limited (“Hilong”). 

Subsequent to an Initial Public Offering undertaken by Hilong and its listing on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (“HKSE”) on 21st April 2011, UMWCV’s shareholding in Hilong was diluted to 3.5% comprising 56,040,000 ordinary shares of par value HKD0.10 each, from 4.67% comprising 46,700 ordinary shares of par value HKD0.10 each.

In line with the UMW Group’s strategy to rationalise its Oil & Gas investments and focus on its core business activities within the Oil & Gas sector, we would like to announce that UMWCV had since November 2012 progressively disposed its shareholding in Hilong through HKSE and has today completed its disposal of 56,040,000 ordinary shares in total, representing its entire shareholding in Hilong.

None of the Directors and substantial shareholders of UMW and/or persons connected with the Directors and/or substantial shareholders, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the abovementioned disposal.
