We refer to the announcement
dated 21st December 2012 and 8th February 2013 in
relation to the above matter. On behalf of the Board of
Directors of UMW Holdings Berhad (“UMW” or the “Issuer”) Maybank
Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”) is pleased to announce that the
Issuer has today successfully completed the second issuance of IMTN with a
nominal value of RM500.0 million under the IMTN Programme (“New Sukuk
Issuance”). The New Sukuk Issuance was undertaken by UMW to allow for the swap of their outstanding IMTN of RM500.0 million pursuant to its IMTN Programme of up to RM500.0 million in nominal value issued on 15th September 2009 (“Outstanding IMTN2”) into their recently established IMTN Programme (this exercise will be referred to as the "Sukuk Swap Exercise"). The Sukuk Swap Exercise will be done on a no cash basis and the New Sukuk will have the same maturity date and profit rate of the Outstanding IMTN2. This announcement is dated 9th May 2013. | |
