On behalf of UMWH, Maybank IB and CIMB wish to announce that the Shariah Advisory Council of the SC has, vide its letter dated 1 July 2013 (which was received on 4 July 2013), classified UMW-OG Shares as Shariah-compliant securities based on the latest audited combined financial statements of UMW-OG for the financial year ended 31 December 2012. However, the Shariah-compliant status is subject to the approval from the SC for the Proposed Listing.
