We refer to the announcement dated 21 December 2012 in relation to the above. On behalf of the Board of Directors of UMW Holdings Berhad (“UMW” or the “Issuer”), Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”) is pleased to announce that the Issuer has today successfully completed the first issuance of IMTN with a nominal value of RM440.0 million under the IMTN Programme. The IMTN has a tenure of three (3) years. The aforesaid IMTN has been assigned a rating of AAA by RAM Ratings Services Berhad. The proceeds raised from the issue shall be utilised to finance UMW Holdings Group’s domestic or foreign current and/or future projects and/or investments and/or capital expenditure. In connection with the above, Maybank IB and Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad have been mandated by UMW to act as Joint Principal Advisers, Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Lead Managers for the IMTN Programme.
