The Board of Directors of MCB is pleased to announce that Alam Flora Environmental Solutions Sdn. Bhd. ("AFES"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd. ("AFSB"), which in turn is a subsidiary of MCB, appointed MMC Engineering Sdn. Bhd. ("MMCE"), a related party of MCB, as the Work Package Construction 2 ("WPC2") contractor for the Sustainable Facility and Eco-Park Centre ("SAFE-T") at Teluk Kalong, Kemaman, Terengganu ("Appointment").

The Appointment constitutes a related party transaction under Paragraph 10.08 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("MMLR") as MMCE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MMC Corporation Berhad ("MMC"), a major shareholder of MCB.
