| Working experience and occupation | Mr. Yap Yik Yong holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance from Charles Sturt University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland. He is a qualified accountant and has been a member of CPA Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Mr. Yap has more than 21 years of experience in the management of groups of companies with diverse business operations in Malaysia and overseas. His areas of expertise include group reporting, treasury management and budgeting, cost rationalisation, corporate finance, tax planning and risk management, investment evaluation, business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, Enterprise Resource Planning ("ERP") system implementation, and operations management. His experience spans various industries, including real estate, construction, property development, manufacturing, and oil and gas services.
Prior to joining Protasco Berhad, he worked with several public listed companies, a Big Four accounting firm, and several privately owned companies. |
