The Board of Directors of Taliworks is pleased to announce that a jointly-controlled entity, Cerah Sama Sdn. Bhd. (“Cerah Sama”), had on 21 January 2013 received the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”)’s approval for the establishment of a Sukuk Programme of up to RM750.0 million in nominal value. Cerah Sama is the holding company of Grand Saga Sdn Bhd, a company that owns and operates the concession of the Cheras-Kajang Highway until 2045.
Cerah Sama had appointed Maybank Investment Bank Berhad as the principal adviser, lead arranger, lead manager, security agent and facility agent for the said Sukuk Programme.

The tenure of the Sukuk Programme shall be for a maximum period of twenty (20) years.
    Upon the approval from the SC, Cerah Sama had on 22 January 2013 entered into agreements with the relevant parties to give effect to the Sukuk Programme.
      The proceeds from the issuance under the Sukuk Programme will be utilised to refinance Cerah Sama’s existing Islamic medium term notes and to finance Cerah Sama's and/or its susbsidiaries’ investments, working capital requirements and general corporate purposes, all of which shall be Shariah-compliant.
