The Board of Directors of AmanahRaya-REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, the management company of AmanahRaya Real Estate Investment Trust ("ARREIT") wishes to announce that ARREIT has on 18 March 2014, received a notice of resignation as Auditors from Messrs BDO pursuant to Section 172(15) of the Companies Act, 1965. The reason for resignation is as part of good corporate governance practice where Messrs BDO has been the Auditors for ARREIT since 2006. ARREIT has also received a notice dated 22 May 2014 from Messrs KPMG expressing their consent to act as Auditors of ARREIT to replace the resigning Auditors, Messrs BDO. CIMB Islamic Trustee Berhad, the Trustee for ARREIT, has approved the appointment of Messrs KPMG as Auditors of ARREIT for the financial year ending 31 December 2014 in place of the resigning Auditors, Messrs BDO with effect from 17 June 2014 in accordance with the provisions of the Trust Deed dated 10 October 2006 (as varied by Supplemental Trust Deed dated 4 January 2007, Novation Agreement dated 27 August 2009 and the Second Supplemental Trust Deed dated 27 August 2009) and the Securities Commission's Guidelines on Real Estate Investment Trusts.
